Description
The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and a little rain didn't stop Mattie Temple from getting her pictures.
"I'm not afraid of the rain. There's a lot of rain in Southeast Alaska. So, this is nothing to me."
Even with the wetness, the visitors are still here for pictures and the colorful experience.
"I am pretty wet though. So I'm going to have to go home and change before I go to school."
These trees were a gift from Japan in 1990 to honor the dedication of the Japanese American Historical Plaza.
"It's just a nice reminder of spring. When you see the cherry blossoms you're like....winter is finally over."
