Description
March 9, 2023 on The Story: A proposed 300-mile transmission line would march from the northeastern Oregon town of Boardman through five counties, ending near Boise. It would carry enough power to supply 150,000 homes, and proponents of the project say that it will be a crucial conduit for green energy for both Oregon and Idaho. But residents in the hills west of La Grande are organizing against the project, arguing that it will harm the environment and natural resources while soon becoming obsolete. That culminated this week in a ruling from the Oregon Supreme Court.
