Dec. 20, 2022 on The Story: If you were in the greater Portland area last year, then you may remember the ice storm of Valentine's Day weekend, 2021. Tens of thousands of people lost power and remained without it for several days after the ice took down trees and power lines. Restoring power for some people took more than a week, and cleanup took considerably longer. Well later this week, just in time for Christmas travel, we're expecting freezing rain and sleet that could, potentially, set up an ice storm similar to February 2021. We don't know that it will be anywhere near that bad, but tonight we're taking a closer look so that you can be prepared for the possibility.
