Dec. 2, 2022 on The Story: For more than a century, Oregon has honored its disabled veterans by offering them a break on property taxes. It's intended to help veterans stay in their homes while demonstrating the state's commitment to our wounded warriors. But that tax reduction hasn't kept up over the years with the sky-high rise of real estate prices — and increasingly, many disabled vets find themselves in a difficult position.
