Nov. 16, 2022 on The Story: Officials with the Oregon Department of Transportation are moving ahead with tolling programs on I-5 and I-205 around Portland. Parts of the plan closest to the finish line would add tolling to I-205 at the Tualatin River and Abernethy bridges, with the intention of using that money to pay for road improvements and bridge retrofits. But ODOT officials are also considering prices based on the levels of congestion, and some commuters are aghast with sticker shock at the peak prices they're proposing.
