Description
Lights. Camera. Action! Film industry professional Jerry Bell Jr. is sharing his movie-making skills for free at the Regence Boys and Girls Club in North Portland, part of a free educational workshop called Future Filmmakers.
"This is a Panasonic AVC Cam. It's more high tech than using a phone. So they get to see the variances and the difference in technology,” Bell said.
Portland Film Festival’s Executive Director Joshua Leake helps kids make movies.
"Halloween is coming up and there is nothing better, and I think cooler, than watching kids make monster movies," Leake said.
Jerry Bell III is one of the future filmmakers. "Getting to know more people and filming is just very fun."
The final movies will be shown at the Lloyd Center Festival Hub at noon on Oct. 22.
