House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made an appearance in the Rose City Tuesday afternoon to talk about President Joe Biden’s recent Inflation Reduction Act that was passed last month. She was joined by Congressman Earl Blumenauer and Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici. The big take away is if you buy certain electric cars you can get a tax credit of more than seven thousand dollars for a new vehicle. If you go the used electric car route, you’ll get a four thousand dollar credit. While the hope is that more jobs will be created from this act, it will also help with health care too.
