Description
Aug. 23, 2022 on The Story: Vancouver's first Safe Stay Community, an organized tiny home village for people experiencing homelessness, has been operating for six months as of the end of June. With a second community up and running and more on the way, a report from the city examines the village's success stories over those first six months, as well as the areas where it can still improve. Plus a look at Portland's progress on its own similar Safe Rest Village program, and a recent new initiative to ban camping along walking routes to Portland schools.
