Description
The lightning threat in the Portland and Salem metro areas has calmed for the moment, as of about 12:30 p.m. However, Futurecast locks on to a possible strong thunderstorm cell moving toward Portland between 6 and 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Heavy rain, hail, lightning and gusty winds continue to be possible with any storm development. The chance of storms and showers will linger into early Wednesday morning. — KGW meteorologist Rod Hill
