Description
At Camp Rosenbaum, now in its 50th year, Barry Quinn is the lead "Fire Dawg."
"50 years is significant because all I see is the next 50 years," he said.
Started in the 1971, the camp gives kids from low-income households and underprivileged circumstances a chance at summer camp. Camp director Lt. Col. Brian Kroeller is one of 170 volunteers.
“The kids get 3 meals a day. It's all free of charge," Kroeller said. "We can allow the kids to just kind of be kids."
The kids run through a firefighters' obstacle course, ride horses, make crafts, play dodge ball and enjoy the beach.
