July 14, 2022 on The Story: Portland Street Response has been inundated with calls after expanding citywide, without enough staff to respond to them all. The unarmed crisis response team is fielding more than a dozen calls a day regarding the homeless or someone in crisis -- compared to the approximately four per day before the service expanded.
