Description
Ron Brady has been battling Alzheimer’s disease for some time now. The Marquis Hope Village Memory Care resident has had a love for cars his entire life. He's a retired race car driver who also built and restored a 1965 Chevy Nomad and a 1950's Dragster with a front-end engine.
Whether working on them or racing them, his car hobby slowed down once he and his wife Val had kids. Life slowed down more with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
Thanks to Marquis’ New Chapter program, Ron got to re-live an experience he still talks about today: going fast.
His family was there as he rode along in a Porsche 911 GT3 for three laps around the track at P.I.R., reaching speeds of 140mph. They’re hopeful Ron’s day at the track is one that he will be able to remember.
