Description
Mt. Hood Cozy Steiner Cabin Tour
Mike Gudge is the owner of the 1937 St. John Catholic Church. Built with quirky knobs, rails and steps, it's a Steiner Cabin. The 2022 Steiner Cabin Tour will be the first time the public can see inside the church.
"It looked like a worthwhile project," Gudge said. "I was just enamored with the log structure and I made it happen."
Mike bought the church in 1975, moved it and has been working to restore it. Lloyd Musser with the Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum (https://mthoodmuseum.org/event/steiner-cabins-tour-2022/) says the Steiner family built an important part of the local history.
Experience the area's history in another chapter of the Steiner storybook cabins.
