Shaken by one of the deadliest attacks in the war, many residents of Sumy in northeastern Ukraine are trying defiantly to carry on as normal, but nerves are not far below the surface. "Each time you just flinch from the sharp sounds," local photographer Sofia Stasyuk, 20, says of the explosions they hear in the city near the Russian border. Thirty-five people were killed when two Russian ballistic missiles struck Sumy on Sunday, while an overnight attack killed one person and injured one other, regional officials said Friday.
