An elementary school is closed and about a dozen people were asked to evacuate an area south of Galeton in Weld County due to an incident at an oil and gas facility. In a statement Monday, Chevron said "a well control incident occurred" around 6 p.m. Sunday at a well location south of Weld County Road 74 near Galeton. Galeton is about 14 miles northeast of Greeley in Weld County.
