Video shared Thursday night shows Christy and Paul Akeo boarding a plane heading back to the United States. They were arrested on fraud charges, tied to $117,000 in charges on their American Express card. But their family has said they were the victims of a kidnapping and extortion attempt by a Mexican timeshare company. The Mexican state attorney says the couple reached an agreement with the timeshare company. A judge then dismissed the criminal case and ordered their release.
