One measles case has been confirmed in Colorado, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) announced Monday. Measles is a highly contagious disease that is often severe, but it is preventable. CDPHE said two doses of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine are about 97% effective in preventing measles.
