An Aurora homeowner's months-long struggle to repair a damaged fence in his backyard has finally found resolution, with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) agreeing to fix the barrier after initial bureaucratic back-and-forth.
Dennis Richards has been fighting to get the fence repaired since a car accident before Christmas left a gaping hole in the barrier near the intersection of Mississippi Avenue and I-225. The damage occurred when a vehicle crashed into the backyard fence, leaving Richards caught in a jurisdictional dispute between local and state authorities.
