Description
An Aurora Police Department officer and another person were hospitalized for smoke inhalation after a two-alarm fire broke out at a duplex Tuesday night near Hampden Avenue and Chambers Road, Aurora Fire Rescue said.
Aurora Police said the officer hurt was the first to arrive at the scene around 6 p.m. The officer worked to ensure everyone made it out safely. The officer and a person who lives there were taken to a hospital with smoke inhalation.
