Colorado’s best known immigration advocate has been detained by ICE. In a new court filing, Jeanette Vizguerra’s attorneys admit she does not have a legal right to be in the US. Their strategy appears to be to slow down her deportation with the hope that a judge might halt the process or allow her to leave voluntarily. But she has been through this process before, and was convicted for illegally re-entering the US.
