Eight people were taken to a hospital and more than 80 were displaced after an explosion and fire Wednesday at a retirement community in southeast Denver, according to Denver Fire. Just after 11:30 a.m., Denver Fire reported on their social media that crews were responding to a fire at a building near Quebec Street and Smith Way, at Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Campus.
