A now-former Broncos assistant coach – facing multiple charges after being accused of punching and injuring a Denver Police officer – has a chance to avoid a conviction and a jail cell. Prosecutors charged Michael Wilhoite with second-degree assault on a peace officer, obstruction of a peace officer, and criminal mischief after a confrontation Feb. 23 in a passenger pickup lane at Denver International Airport.
