An Aurora Academy Charter School teacher said he was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident while cycling home last Friday around 8 p.m. near 13th and Tucson. Thom Bilous, a technology teacher who has taught at the school for eight years, said he was struck by a driver who fled the scene, leaving him injured on the sidewalk. Bilous said he suffered facial injuries and a concussion that has affected his memory of the incident.
