Description
An innovative after-school program is using golf to help struggling readers catch up, with students at Title I schools showing significant academic improvements through one-on-one mentorship and athletic engagement.
First Tee Colorado Rocky Mountains' Read N' Swing program pairs students reading below grade level with mentors for 60-minute sessions that combine literacy instruction and golf activities. The program targets elementary students who are one to two grade levels behind in reading, offering a unique approach to academic intervention.
