Description
On Saturday, hundreds gathered to protest federal job cuts within the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service. However, one local group chose to express their concerns in a different way by using a symbolic display in Rocky Mountain National Park.
The group, primarily made up of women, set out early on March 1, ascending the park's Eagle Cliff to raise flags. This act was meant to serve as a "sign of distress" in response to the announcement of nearly 1,000 job cuts within the National Park Service in February.
