Description
The co-owner of a Penrose funeral home where authorities found 190 decaying bodies withdrew her guilty plea in her federal case on Tuesday after the judge rejected a plea agreement.
Last October, Carie Hallford pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The plea agreement stipulated that prosecutors would not request more than 15 years imprisonment. Her husband Jon also pleaded guilty to the same count.
