Description
Sally and Simon Glass clung to each other and cried as video of their son’s final hour played in a Clear Creek County courtroom on Wednesday.
The retrial of a former Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office deputy charged with murder for shooting and killing Christian Glass in June 2022 is coming to an end. Now, the case is in the hands of the jury. Five women and seven men entered deliberations Wednesday afternoon. This time around, both sides hope the jury will deliver a deciding verdict.
Andrew Buen, the deputy who shot and killed 22-year-old Glass, was originally charged with second-degree murder, official misconduct and reckless endangerment. In his first trial in April 2024, a jury found him guilty of reckless endangerment, a Class 2 misdemeanor, but could not reach a verdict on the two more serious charges.
