Description
A Denver city councilman said he is exploring possible regulations for a private parking lot enforcement company after a Steve On Your Side investigation found many people ticketed by that company had proof they paid for parking but were denied appeals.
Parking Revenue Recovery Services (PRRS) operates automated cameras that read license plates entering and exiting most of the privately-owned parking lots in downtown Denver. The company mails violation notices threatening collections to the registered owner of the vehicle if it determines the driver didn’t pay for parking, overstayed past their paid parking time, or broke other rules of the lot.
