A humpback whale was seen swallowing a 24-year-old kayaker in the Strait of Magellan in Chile, then spitting him out. It happened when a father and son were out on the icy waters around Chile’s southernmost Patagonia region. The father said he began recording when he saw some pretty waves. The whale then surfaces and gulps the son for a few moments before releasing him. The son says he thought he was going to die, but then his life vest pulled him up. When asked if they would kayak again, the father and son both said "of course."
