Description
It’s been nearly two decades since one of the nation’s largest single-day immigration operations unfolded in Greeley, but the memory of the ICE raid remains fresh for many who live there.
On Dec. 12, 2006, more than a hundred federal law enforcement officers entered a Swift meat-packing plant, arresting 262 workers who were in the country without proper documentation.
The raid was part of a nationwide operation that saw more than 1,000 people detained at multiple facilities.
