The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights is investigating Denver Public Schools for a Title IX violation after the district converted a girls' restroom into an all-gender restroom at one of its high schools. The department sent a letter notifying DPS Superintendent Alex Marrero of the investigation for "discriminating against its female students by converting a female restroom" at East High School, the district's largest high school.
