Description
A 57-year-old man died Sunday after he was struck by a weight from a weight throw event that cleared a certified barrier during a track and field event at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
The El Paso County Coroner's Office identified the man as Wade Langston.
According to a release from the school, Langston was killed when a weight thrown by a participant went over a barrier and struck him. In the weight throw event in indoor track and field, the implement used is a weight attached to a grip.
