The Arapahoe County Coroner's Office identified the 16-year-old girl who was shot and killed during a home invasion Tuesday morning at an Aurora apartment complex. The shooting happened about 6:15 a.m. in the 10600 block of East Jewell Avenue, according to Aurora Police. Officers originally responded to a call of a home invasion at one of the apartments, police said. Aurora Police Captain Marc Paolino said at a briefing that two males got inside the apartment and a physical fight ensued. Then multiple shots were fired. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old girl who had an apparent gunshot wound, according to police. Officers performed life-saving actions at the scene, and the victim was transported to the hospital, where she later died, police said. On Wednesday, the coroner's office identified her as Audrina Arrington.
