The Colorado Department of Revenue sent vehicle registration renewal reminders with incorrect fee totals to 38,000 registered owners last month, Steve On Your Side has learned. The state’s computers system undercalculated the fees on some December and January renewals, according to Elizabeth Kosar, spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Revenue, which oversees the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The state has since corrected the error.
