A Commerce City police officer was recovering from a "severe concussion" after a suspected drunk driver collided with the back of the officer's patrol vehicle Tuesday morning. The Commerce City Police Department said on Facebook that the officer is expected to be released from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility close to his home some time Thursday.
