American Airlines briefly grounded flights nationwide early Tuesday due to a "technical issue." The Federal Aviation Administration said the company requested a ground stop for all of its flights. The ground stop was lifted around 8 a.m. Eastern. "American Airlines reported a technical issue this morning and requested a nationwide ground stop. The ground stop has now been lifted," the FAA said in a statement. "Please contact American Airlines for updates."
