The largest and arguably best-known provider of healthcare in the state has sued more of its patients for unpaid medical bills in the last three months than any other major medical system in Colorado, according to a 9NEWS Investigates analysis of Colorado court records. UCHealth’s ongoing practice of taking its patients to court, efforts that can and do end up in default judgements and wage garnishments, appears to directly contradict claims made by hospital leadership earlier in the year.
