A local group bidding to bring a National Women’s Soccer League franchise to Denver is no longer considering the National Western Center north of downtown as the location for a home field where the team would play. Earlier this month, reporting from the Sports Business Journal, a sister publication of the Denver Business Journal, revealed that Denver was one of five cities in consideration for a 16th franchise of the women's professional soccer league. Others include Cincinnati, Nashville, Cleveland and Philadelphia.
