A Golden Police officer was killed and another was injured in a crash Wednesday evening. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 58 and Washington Avenue in Golden, according to Golden Police. The two officers, who were both outside their vehicle investigating a crash at the time, were trapped under their vehicle, police said. A female officer had serious injuries but survived. The other officer, a 33-year-old man, died at the scene. His name has not been released.
