A Golden police officer was killed and another was injured in a crash Wednesday evening, the Colorado State Patrol said. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 58 and Washington Avenue in Golden. The injured officer was taken to the hospital. Few details about the crash were immediately available, but troopers said they suspect alcohol was involved.
