Description
Mayor Mike Johnston discusses two sales tax measures on Denver's ballot. Colorado held its 2024 election Nov. 5. Voters selected between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump for president. They also elected representatives for the U.S. and state legislatures. Candidates included Yadira Caraveo and Gabe Evans in CD8 and Lauren Boebert and Trisha Calvarese in CD4. Voters considered 14 statewide ballot measures, including Amendments 79 and 80 regarding abortion rights and school choice, respectively. Coloradans also made decisions on local elections and ballot measures, such as sales tax increases to fund health and affordable housing initiatives in Denver.
