A man was fatally shot Wednesday night by Castle Rock officers after a neighbor reported a dispute with the man and said he was armed with a stick and a shotgun. According to Castle Rock Police, someone called 911 around 10:15 p.m. to report a disturbance near the intersection of Bilberry Street and Celestial Avenue. The caller reported that the man, who was armed with a stick, grabbed their phone and broke it. After breaking the phone, the caller said, the man left the area and was possibly armed with a shotgun.
