A person in a stolen truck fired multiple shots at pursuing officers after those officers tried to pull the drive over early Wednesday morning, according to the Englewood Police Department. Officers initially attempted a traffic stop related the the stolen 2011 white Silverado pickup truck around 4:20 a.m. near South Broadway and West Bates Avenue. The vehicle had Colorado license plate number 611-XVN. According to police, the driver refused to pull over and continued driving. Officers followed as the driver went into a neighborhood and turned on West Dartmouth Avenue. At that time someone inside the vehicle fired shots at officers who were pursuing the truck. The officers continued the pursuit on West Dartmouth past South Santa Fe Dive when the person again fired shots at the officers, police said. No one was hurt in the incident and no officers fired their weapons, Englewood Police said. Anyone with information about the truck or those inside it should contact Englewood Police at 303-761-7410.
