Description
Colorado State Patrol said that the car ran into a signpost before catching fire Monday. No other vehicles were involved.
The Lone Tree Police Department said the driver was killed in the crash.
The northbound lanes of the highway were closed at Castle Pines Parkway for several hours while crews investigated the crash. The interstate reopened around 8:45 p.m.
Police are looking for witnesses who have seen or recorded the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 720-509-1176.
