The body of a hiker who was reported missing was found in Boulder County Monday. Boulder County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that its Communications Center received a report around 11:30 a.m. on Monday of an overdue 36-year-old man who was camping in the Lake Isabelle area in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, which is accessed from the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. The man's family reported him missing after he did not check in with them or show up when expected. His vehicle was found in the parking lot of Brainard Lake, and the sheriff's office began searching in the area based on reports from the family and information from the man's Garmin GPS device. The sheriff's office deployed ground searchers, dog teams and a helicopter. The man was found dead around 5:30 p.m. on Monday in the Shoshoni Peak area.
