One of the Denver metro's most high-profile steakhouses is closing its doors after two decades of business. Elway's Cherry Creek will have its last day on Aug. 31. The closure is due to a redevelopment project, according to the restaurant's website. The Denver's Cherry Creek commercial district's $1 billion redevelopment, known as Cherry Creek West, covers the area where Elway's, a running store and a parking lot currently stand. The steakhouse said in a statement on its website that it's working with developers to determine a new location after construction is done.
