Description
The incident commander of the Alexander Mountain Fire provides a Tuesday update on the wildfire burning west of Loveland.
The USFS said an aircraft had measured the fire at 1,820 acres as of Tuesday at 10 a.m. Officials with the forest service said the fire crept slowly downhill overnight but there were no major runs. A complex incident management team has been ordered to provide extra manpower.
In a 9:45 a.m. update Tuesday, the USFS said 200 ground resources were on scene helping with aviation efforts to help secure the fire's perimeter and "protect values at risk." The forest service said smoke is expected for the next few days.
