Description
NBC News reports on the global technology outage causing major disruptions Friday, July 19, 2024, across industries ranging from hospitals to banks to airlines, leaving millions either stranded or unable to do work.
The outage was traced back to a cybersecurity company called CrowdStrike, which provides anti-cyberattack services to Microsoft and other large companies, AP reports.
Microsoft 365 posted on X that the company was "working on rerouting the impacted traffic to alternate systems to alleviate impact in a more expedient fashion" and that they were "observing a positive trend in service availability."
