A 23-year-old man was sentenced to prison on Tuesday for a crash that killed a father and injured two children in February. Kresten Wolff and his children were proceeding through the intersection at West 64th Avenue and Lamar Place in Arvada on Feb. 5 after the light turned green. Juan Ortega Torres Jr., 23, ran the red light and slammed into Wolff's car. The impact pushed Wolff's car into a resident's yard and home. Torres' blood alcohol level was 0.174, more than double the legal limit. Marijuana and fentanyl were also present in his system, the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office said at sentencing Tuesday afternoon.
