TODAY AT A GLANCE: Temperatures will be cooler Tuesday which will lessen the chance for severe weather. However, showers and storms will develop over the metro area and plains as the day goes on. Over the mountains above 9,000 feet snowfall could reach 2-5 inches. By Thursday, mostly sunny skies could warm Denver to near 80 degrees before becoming briefly cooler again Friday with scattered storms thanks to another cold front passing through. Then, Colorado will turn mild with only a slight chance for late day storms each day through the weekend and into next week.
